Legacy of Nadal and Djokovic
For the past decade or so, Federer has been the dominant force of the Tennis world. However, as of late it’s been Nadal and Djokavic. A lot of people consider Federer to be the best to ever the play the game. He holds the record with 16 Grand Slam singles titles while winning on all four courts (three different surfaces). But, with the recent success of Djokavic and Nadal, could that change?
This year’s Australian Open was great. We ended with our top four for the semifinals. The finals bracket finished with Nadal beating Federer and Djokavic over Murray. Let’s take a closer look.
If you are a fan of tennis, you probably heard of the comments Nadal made about the Tennis schedule and Federer. He first argued that the schedule is too tight and leaves little time for players to recover from their previous tournament. Federer later stated that we should keep quiet and avoid trying to give tennis a bad name. Nadal then counter spoke by saying Federer is just a small percentage of players and he is trying to keep his image and kind of making the majority of players look bad by keeping quiet.
