The Giants won a thriller of a Super Bowl over the Patriots which came down to a hail mary that had a chance for the Patriots to win the game. The game really came down to the Giants just made more plays than the Patriots and executing to perfection. This Giants team has overcome so much including many injuries and now they are the Champs. Lots of credit ahs to be given to the Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning who was the constant all year and has really carried this team. He has become one of the Elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

 The New York Giants are going to the Super Bowl and a lot can be said that their defense has playing very well the last 6 weeks. The defense as a whole deserves a lot of credit and well deserving. But I believe that pass rushing group got healthy at the right time and are playing at their best at this stage of the season. This pass rushing group sets the tone for that defense. The pass rushing group consists of Osi Umenyiora, Jason Pierre-Paul, Mathias Kiwanuka, Justin Tuck, and Dave Tollefson.

The Detroit Lions made the playoffs for the first time in 12 years and that has a lot to do with the plays of Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford. This was the first year that Stafford was able to stay healthy for the full season and not miss any games. This offense was amazing because of the way Calvin Johnson had played. He has influenced defenses to double and triple team him, giving his teammates opportunities in one on one coverage.
