Early NBA MVP Rankings

Lebron James: People may hate him but, there is no denying he is a gifted athlete on the court. Through the 2011 season he is averaged 29.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2 steals. Miami is 7-1 and are the best team in the NBA in my opinion. He does everything on the court and helps Miami to win. He right now runs away with the MVP award. He also is shooting nearly 60 percent from the field and has only attempted one three.

Kevin Durant: He has advanced over the last couple of years and has proven what a prolific scorer he is. Through the 2011 season he is averaging 26.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 blocks. Kevin Durant is the leader of OKC and they are on top of the West. His moment for this season so far, is the game winning shot against Dallas. He is not to be taken lightly.

Derrick Rose: The former MVP is not content with one title. His team is 7-1 and tied with Miami for the top of the East. Through the 2011 season he is averaging 20.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists. His team has been playing great and is looking to make a push in the playoffs.

Dwight Howard: He's the best center in the league and once again he has proven it. Through the 2011 season he is averaging 20.3 points, 15.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals. His team is 5-3 and looks pretty good. Of course if he goes somewhere else it might change his chances for MVP for the better or the worse.

Rajon Rondo: Rondo has been known for being the other guy with the big 3. Last year he had a breakout season and it appears he is not slowing down. Through the 2011 season he is averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 10.5 assists and 1.8 steals. He is the guy for the Celtics and they are going as far as he takes them.

Some other notable mentions:

Carmelo Anthony: 29.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals. NY Knicks are 3-4.

LaMarcus Aldridge: 21.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and .7 blocks. Trailblazers are 5-2.

Kobe Bryant: 27.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and .9 steals. LA Lakers are 5-4.
