The Al East Division in the MlB is very talented. All teams have the potential to make playoffs. We will explain our opinions, on how the division will be, at the end of the season.

New York Mets

The Mets finished 77 and 85 last season. They just recently lost all-star Jose Reyes to free agency, who went to the Miami Marlins. The Marlins by the way are in the NL East as well. They ranked fourth in their division. The Mets, with the last season’s finish, need to make some changes.

MLB Playoff Addition

This season for MLB will have a new rule for the postseason. Instead of four teams making the postseason from each league, five teams will make it. Now, this provides an opportunity for another team to join the October brawl. The two Wild Card teams will face off against one another for a 1 game matchup, winner then plays against the top seeded team. There are both positive and negative aspects you can take away from this new addition.
