Both these teams last week beat two elite QBs and the two favorites to come out of the NFC to win the Super Bowl. The playoffs have shown us that elite quarterback play those not win championships and that top defenses do. Bo these teams forced multiple turnovers and made big plays on both sides of the ball.

The New York Giants are on a roll right now winning their last 5 games and showing the world why they are a team to be reckoned with. The Giants must use a different game plan against the 49ers than the one used against the Packers. Offensively there is only two worries I have. One is will they be able to run the ball and second can they protect Eli Manning. Last week they did a good job in protecting him but they did not run ball well at all. They must be able to run the ball this week in order to be more balanced. Eli was able to make plays even in third and long but you cannot continue to rely on that. Especially against this defense which can get pressure. On defense they need to stop the run and get pressure on Alex Smith this will rattle him and make him make bad decisions. The 49ers are an elite defense so they must rely on that. On offense they need to run the ball and keep running it, this will keep those top pass rushers of the Giants at bay giving Alex Smith easier throws and also it will keep Eli Manning on the sidelines watching. On defense they need to stop the run but difference from the Packers is they must get pressure on Eli Manning and not let him sit back there and pick apart the secondary.

These two teams won last week because they made the other force mistakes. This week it is going to come down to which team can rattle the other quarterback and which teams can force more turnovers. This will be a battle of two very good defenses and it will come down to which offense can make one more play than the other.
